Requesting

How To Request Others In English?

Requesting or making requests is a common part of our daily conversations. It is rather considered quite polite to often use request phrases in your talks. It will get your works done easily and you will win respect from others also.

While requesting do consider following points for better phrasing a sentence:

a. Is the person (you are requesting) is older or senior to you? In such cases you must use polite phrases.

b. Is the person a stranger, a friend or colleague of yours? For strangers you must use polite phrases but for friends use of to much polite language is not considered as appropriate, because it gets to formal.

c. If your request will cause trouble or extra burden for others then you need to add ‘sorry’ etc with your request.
