Adverb

An adverb is a word which qualifies (or adds to) the meaning of a verb , an adjective or another adverb.

 

For example:

She was walking slowly.
You are very clever boy.
She was walking quite slowly.

Types of Adverbs

1. Adverbs of Manner
2. Adverbs of Place
3. Adverbs of Time
4. Adverbs of Frequency
5. Adverbs of Degree or Quantity
6. Adverbs of Probability
7. Adverbs of Interrogation

Degrees of Adverbs:

Many adverbs also have three degrees like adjectives.

1. Positive Degree
2. Comparative Degree
3. Superlative Degree
